Municipal Surveys

Municipal and Utility work usually requires a Right of Way survey. HARMSEN specializes in route surveys, including the preparation of maps showing ownerships for possible R/W or easement acquisition.

Many municipalities are using GIS (Geographic Information System) and need HARMSEN to provide GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) control, combined with traditional survey procedures, to provide major control networks for GIS. Often municipalities & Public Utilities have projects which require an ALTA/ACSM survey to be performed. Usually a topographic map is also necessary. HARMSEN provides topographic maps which contain the detail necessary for complete development without "surprises." Critical Area Site Plans (CASP) may be needed as part of the development process. These plans show wetlands, steep slopes and other critical areas. Once the design of the project is complete, construction staking will be necessary. HARMSEN will provide a bid for the staking and will also guarantee 48 hour response time.
